2023 Winter Cheerleading - Registration Ends Tonight

Cheerleading is the backbone of any great team! Your child will have a great deal of fun with other children as they learn new cheers, dances, and routines, while creating new friendships. The YAP Cheerleading program is designed for your child to have fun, teach cheerleading fundamentals, and develop relationships in a thriving community. The success of our season will be determined by your child's improvement in these areas alone.

• Calendar: The YAP Cheerleading program will run December 2, 2023 through February 10, 2024, concurrent with YAP Flag Football.
• Registration: Will open December 2, 2023 and close on November 10, 2023.
• Important dates for both football and cheer include:
  • Registration closes November 10, 2023
  • First game scheduled for December 2, 2023.
  • Last Game scheduled for February 10,2024.
  • Late registrations may not be accommodated after November 14, 2023
• Fees: $95
• Cheering: Cheer team will cheer at during scheduled YAP Flag Football games, primarily on Saturday mornings or early afternoons.
  All games are held at St. Lawrence field.
• Games: The cheer squad will perform Saturdays as noted below, in between Football games, beginning December 2nd. All games will be held at St. Lawrence.

  • Game 4 January 6, 2024

• Practice: Cheer groups will have one practice per week, 1 hour in duration, based on the volunteer coach's schedule of availability.
• Experience: Previous experience is not necessary. Practices will include learning basic cheer moves and two dances.
• Age Groups for this Sport: All Age Groups EC-4 through 8th grade.
• Uniforms and Equipment**:
