Winter Cheerleading

Cheerleading is the backbone of any great team! Your child will have a great deal of fun with other children as they learn new cheers, dances, and routines, while creating new friendships. The YAP Cheerleading program is designed for your child to have fun, teach cheerleading fundamentals, and develop relationships in a thriving community. The success of our season will be determined by your child's improvement in these areas alone.

• Calendar: The YAP Cheerleading program will run December 2025 through February 2026, concurrent with YAP Flag Football.
• Registration: Fee of $105. 
• Cheering: Cheer team will cheer between scheduled YAP Flag Football games, on Saturday mornings.
  All games are held at St. Lawrence field.
  • Game 1:  December 5th
  • Game 2:  December 12th
  • Game 3:  December 19th
  • Game 4:  January 9th
  • Game 5:  January 16th
  • Game 6:  January 23rd
  • Game 7:  January 30th
  • Game 8:  February 6th
• Practice: Cheer groups will have one practice per week, 1 hour in duration, based on the volunteer coach's schedule of availability. STL practice is tentatively set for Friday afternoons; CKS practice day is Wednesday at 4:30.  Location is TBD.
• Experience: Previous experience is not necessary. Practices will include learning basic cheer moves and two dances.
• Age Groups for this Sport: All Age Groups EC-4 through 8th grade.
